首先，鋼筋桁架由于鋼筋用量大，所以它承受的無支撐跨距大，所以對于跨距在4.5米以上的建筑，選用鋼筋桁架板比樓承板有利的，因為它可以做很大的無支撐跨距。樓承板的適合跨距是在3.6米以內，性價比較高，超過4.5米造價比鋼筋桁架板貴，而且施工也麻煩（相對而言）。
